ADC10 has very good casting and machining characteristics. It has 7% Silicon and 0.4% Magnesium with Fe below 0.1%. A356.2 is known as the wheel alloy, as it is primarily used for aluminium wheel casting for the automotive industry.

Properties: Excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, excellent mechanical properties, good strength and ductility

Suitable for: Intricate and complex castings of thin sections and structural parts such as aircraft parts, pump housings, impellers, high velocity blowers, airframe castings, truck chassis parts, missile components, wheels and structural castings where high strength is required
